Native Plant Fest of the Alleghenies

Description:
As spring approaches, the Native Plant Fest of the Alleghenies on May 22 will provide you with the perfect opportunity to learn how native plants can augment your garden and provide wildlife habitat, plus you'll be able to take some natives home with you! This event will feature native plant sales, workshops by Kathy McGregor of Sylvania Natives and Liz McDowell of Elk Ridge Native Plant Preserve, and a children's workshop. In addition, inspirational professor and author Doug Tallamy will be the afternoon's keynote presentation. His book, Bringing Nature Home, has inspired people around the nation to "go native." His presentation will be followed by a book signing. Native plant festival featuring a native plant sale, workshops, and a lecture by Doug Tallamy, author of Bringing Nature Home.
