Greenway Corridor is Focus of New Community Revitalization Initiative

Description:
The Delaware and Lehigh Heritage Corridor, which includes a 165-mile greenway has just announced the launch of a new Web site for its Corridor Market Towns Initiative. Co-sponsored by the PA Downtown Center and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Commission, the site serves as a citizen's guide to Pennsylvania's first regional revitalization effort. The initiative's initial focus is six small towns along the greenway corridor in Luzerne, Carbon and Lehigh Counties: White Haven, Lansford, Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Palmerton, and Slatington. Specific funding for the site was received from The Henry A. Jordan, MD Preservation Excellence Fund, and the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Heritage Parks Program.
